Fashion photography enables me to create fantasy worlds.
These photographs were created by a process of photo collage. The doll heads are hand sculpted and painted. After being photographed they are then layered through a digital process with images from my journeys.
From an early age, I was inspired by the imaginative window displays in the shops of New York City. With their every changing reflections, they were among my favorite form of theater. Designed to evoke the aspirations of the viewer, these windows offer us an otherworldly version of life and a metaphoric bridge between our inner and outer selves.

Handmade Fantasy Fashion Dolls
My interest in fashion and science fiction inspired me to create these one-of-a-kind figures. Each figure is individually sculpted, painted, wigged and costumed by hand and adorned in fine fabrics, semi precious gems and computer parts.
Athena Ex Machina is part of an ongoing body of work that questions intelligence and technology blurring the borders between human potential and the omnipotent. It tells the tale of a young machine/woman who dwells in a metropolitan city of the future.
This unique work was sculpted and sewn entirely by hand using traditional techniques.
